Residential parking permit enforcement
Just by starting the vehicle, the system boots up and permit lists are automatically downloaded to the AutoVu system. You then select the permit zone which you intend to enforce via the touchscreen interface. As you drive past parked vehicles, AutoVu will alert you when a vehicle is not associated to a valid permit. It is really that simple.
Time-limited enforcement
As you drive by parked vehicles, AutoVu will electronically chalk each car by collecting license plate numbers. When you return to that zone later on, AutoVu will again electronically chalk new vehicles. But this time, AutoVu will also automatically alert you of vehicles that have remained parked in excess of the allowable time limit.
To make it even easier, you can prompt the system to show a map indicating all areas where time limit has expired. And you can enforce many time-limit city regulations including block face, same space, and district or area parking.
Permit and time-limit enforcement
In cities where zones have both permit and time-limit enforcement regulations, AutoVu can monitor both applications simultaneously.
Wanted vehicle identification
More than flagging parking violators, AutoVu can alert you of scofflaws, stolen or other wanted vehicles by comparing license plates to self-acquired lists of wanted vehicles. AutoVu is a multifunctional license plate recognition solution. You can enforce parking regulations and enhance residents’ safety.
Data-mining and evidence review
With the AutoVu system within the Security Center, you get even more functionality. Supervisors can review all collected data for all violations, enforced or rejected. You see date, time, location, license plate number and images. Then, if you need evidence to substantiate an infraction, just press print.
Route management and reports
Supervisors can replay the actual route that the patrol vehicle has taken during each shift. Or, you can generate performance reports. Get the number of license plate reads on an hourly basis, the type and number of enforced parking violations, and the number of wanted vehicle matches. These tools will help you optimize the use of your LPR system.
